HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

We at Friction Marketing Company Ltd recognise our duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the accompanying protective legislation for the prevention of injury and ill health.  We will endeavour to meet the requirements of this legislation to ensure that we maintain a safe and healthy working environment.  Our managers and supervisory staff are informed of their responsibilities to ensure they take all reasonable precautions, to ensure the safety, health and welfare of those that are likely to be affected by our undertaking.

Friction Marketing Company Ltd recognises, so far as is reasonably practicable, the duty to ensure the following:

  • To provide and maintain a safe place of work, safe systems of work, safe equipment and a healthy and safe working environment.
  • To ensure that hazards are identified and regular assessments of risks are undertaken in order to reduce these.
  • To ensure that we meet all our requirements relative to the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, ISO 45001 and comply with all applicable legal requirements and with other requirements to which the organisation subscribes that relate to our OH&S performance.
  • To ensure we provide information, instruction and training as is necessary to promote the awareness of health and safety and encourage best practice throughout our organisation.
  • To ensure continuous improvement in health and safety management and performance through taking appropriate corrective and preventive measures and by setting objectives and measuring performance against those objectives.
  • To ensure that we have access to competent advice and are able to secure compliance with our statutory duties.
  • The company will consult employees or employee representatives on matters of Health & Safety and encourages their participation.

In order to achieve our objectives, and ensure our employees recognise their duties under health and safety legislation whilst at work, we must ensure that we inform them of their duty to take reasonable care of themselves and others that may be affected by their activities.  We ensure our employees are informed of their obligations to ensure they co-operate with management and adhere with Friction Marketing Company Ltd safety rules, which are provided within the Employee Safety Handbook.

This policy will be implemented, documented, maintained and communicated to all employees and, where appropriate, to any interested parties.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Friction Marketing Company Limited, its management and employees will endeavour to minimise or prevent any known harmful environmental effects arising from its activities, products and processes.

  • We are committed to seeking cost-effective improvement of our processes, utilising the best available techniques, with the aim of preventing pollution and reducing costs.
  • We will encourage our suppliers and sub-contractors to minimise their environmental impact.
  • In order to achieve our objectives we will implement and maintain an Environmental Management System complying with the guidelines of ISO 14001 and will comply with all applicable legal requirements and with other requirements to which the organisation subscribes which relate to our environmental aspects.
  • We will provide information, instruction and training as is necessary to promote the awareness of environmental impacts and encourage best practice throughout our organisation.
  • We will ensure continuous improvement in environmental management and performance through taking appropriate corrective and preventive measures and by setting objectives and measuring performance against those objectives.
  • This policy will be implemented, documented, maintained and communicated to all employees and, where appropriate, to any interested parties.

This policy statement is understood and followed by all personnel employed by the Company.

The establishment and review of environmental objectives, along with the effectiveness and suitability of our Environmental Management System, is reviewed annually.

QUALITY POLICY

Friction Marketing Company Limited is committed to the understanding and meeting the needs of its customers in full and recognises the benefits of controlling its processes using a documented quality management system as part of this commitment.

Our system, designed to meet the requirements of ISO 9001 is geared towards the identification, measurement and control of those key processes that affect both the quality of the product and the service offered to our customers.

Along with an ongoing objective to improve our business performance, we look to the system to:

  • Ensure compliance to acknowledged best practice.
  • Aim for improvement in all areas of activity by taking appropriate and positive action following the analysis of data generated from the monitoring of supplier performance, internal non-compliance and customer feedback.
  • Provide information, instruction and identify training needs as is necessary to promote the awareness of Quality and encourage best practice throughout our organisation.
  • Ensure continuous improvement in Quality management and performance through appropriate corrective and preventive measures and by setting objectives and measuring performance against those objectives.

We will consider the adoption of other recognised methods of improvement relevant to our industry and the integration of other initiatives e.g. ISO 45001 Health and Safety standard and ISO 14001 Environmental standard etc. where the introduction of these disciplines would be of benefit.
